TO ALL WHO SERVED

by Richard John Scarr

To all who served, and gave their all,
so we'd be free today.
Who bought our freedom with their lives.
We owe a debt we cannot pay!

They lie in situ, row by row.
In lasting meditation.
Though ne'er a one would claim the debt.
We owe them our salvation.

And so to them. And all who serve.
For battles fought and won.
May Heaven grant all they deserve.
God bless then each, and everyone!
