REMEMBER

by JERRY ARSENAULT
(WINNIPEG)

When my Father in-law died on December 5th 2009, I wasn't happy with the poems available at the funeral home so i wrote my own.And here it is.

REMEMBER

Now that I'm gone
don't cry for me,
Have happy thoughts
When you think of me.
Imagine that I'm at the lake,
hunting and fishing
now that's my place.
Remember when
my friends would come
to visit me, now that was fun.
No more pain, no more sad.
I'll miss you all,
what times we had.

...A beutiful poem!!! Yes...we should not be crying.

This beautiful poem reminds me why the deceased person, in most cases, is smiling in his/her deep slumber. The love ones left behind should not be crying.
