Look For Me Where The Lilacs Grow

by Richard John Scarr
(Brighton, East Sussex, England)

Miss me yes. But do not weep.
Just remember me with love.
And look for me where the lilacs grow.
In God's Heavenly Garden above.

And there, where other lovers meet.
And where the lilac bushes bloom.
And song birds sing there all day long.
And a Babbling Brook gurgles in tune.

Where bees and butter flies flutter close.
And young deer frolic and play.
Where white doves snuggle and rub their beaks.
And coo to each other all day.

Look for me where, blue dragon flies share,
with graceful swans swimming in line.
And little frogs hop from water lily tops.
And I'll be waiting there at lilac time.
