Listen And Be Still

by Joye Atkinson

Lord I know You have a purpose for everything You do
But sometimes I want to ask You why - instead of, trust in You.
I know I should not question Your way or Your will but when I do O Lord please teach me how to listen and be still.
When I face a major heartache like the loss of someone dear, please remind me once again You're always near.
Although I may not feel it I know You are there. Lord please wrap your arms around me and keep me in Your care.
As it says in Your word Lord on that Resurrection Day, we will all be reunited and You'll wipe our tears away.
Until that day please help me to accept Your perfect will; and when You speak O Lord please teach me how to listen and be still.
Amen
