IF WE COULD SEE

by Richard John Scarr
(Brighton, East Sussex England)

If we could see, what others see.
Would our image be the same?
When we look into the mirror.
Would that image still remain?

If we could really see ourselves,
as others see us too.
Would that image peering back at us,
disappear from view?

And would the one that others see,
be one we do not know?
Or would we see, what others see?
An ordinary Joe!
