I Thought of You Today

I thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
and days before that too,
I think of you in silence
...I often speak your name
All I have are memories
and your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake
with which I’ll never part
God has you in His keeping
I have you in my heart.

My 6 months old precious baby girl passed suddenly on Feb 20,2019. Baby we missed you so much know that we will never forget about you. Until we meet together again as a family. She's going to be 10 months on June 01...💜😙😙 we love you so much baby.

My papa died when I was 6 and I don’t remember him as much as anyone else I’m my family because I’m the youngest by 5 years. I am now 18 and now understanding the fact that I won’t be able to see him again. I guess before I never really cried because I didn’t understand what had happened but know that I do all I do when I think about him is cry because I don’t remember what he looks like. This poem really touched me because one I think of my papa in silence because if told anyone how I feel in my family I don’t feel like they would understand as they do remember what he looks like. And lastly the line ‘ all I have are memories and a picture in a frame’ as that literally describes my situation.

I found this poem whilst looking for a poem to use as a screensaver and I found a canvas with this on it and knew straight away that it was written for me.

Feel like I have written to much and that I am poring all my feelings out but honestly most beautiful poem I have ever read

I am reading this at a friend's thanksgiving service tomorrow. She was an artist and as soon as I read the line "and your picture in a frame" I knew this was the special poem I wanted to read. It brings tears to my eyes.

Sad but lovely

I love this poem. Someone in my town died only a week ago. I did not know him personally but would have loved to have a conversation with him. Close in our whole towns hearts he is missed more than can ever be expressed. A 17 year old has no place dying yet it's just not right. Yet it happens that way that's what happens.

I lost my granddaugher Aug 10,2016 she was 17. Innocence victim of drive by shooting. 2 months my grandson died in a car accident he was sixteen. This poem is just what i needed..holiday season is so hard

Lost my baby brother 10/15/77, my dad 7/28/86 & my mom 12/28/08 and I have a sweet baby daughter who lives 3,000 miles from me so it was in thinking of her that I wanted to post on her wall something sweet and meaningful to let her know how much I care!!! I googled "I Thought of You With Love Today and found this. Thx you so much!!!

This is beautiful. My mom was a couple of weeks from turning 92 when she passed in oct 2010. so i have LOTS of memories and so very often, almost daily, she comes to mind. your poem says it so well. thank you for sharing.

My brother died unexpectantly. He thought he had at least 4 more years. It was quick; he was brought to the hospital at midnight and died 4 hours later.
I can't believe he is gone. i think about the things I wanted to send him or tell him but it is not to be. I didn't think I would miss him so much. He died on his birthday.
