Coping
by Carly Berube
(Vallejo, ca. )
She's one of a kind
There is no other
I'm lucky that
She was my mother.
But more than that
She was my friend
That, I didn't realize
Till the end.
My head is spinning
My heart's beating fast
Please tell me Lord
How long will this last?
The anger runs deep
That she's not by my side
Hating everything and everyone
Wishing I weren't alive.
And just when I feel
I'm at the end of my rope
Reality hits me...
And I slowly begin to cope.
