Book Unfinished

by Lea
(Chicago, IL)

They say a moment in Heaven
Is a lifetime here on Earth.
So then I’ll hold my breath just once,
Though a lifetime is what you’re worth.
You gave me sweet, sweet moments,
Please take these gifts from me.
And remember all the good times,
There are more to come, you’ll see.
This isn’t the last embrace for us,
The book is not complete,
When your time on Earth is at its end,
It is me who first you’ll meet.
