Remembering Leisha

by Catherine
(South Africa)

In adulthood
As brothers and sisters:
We have our own lives
So different
So far apart
Yet there is so much we share
Childhood experiences
Recollections
Influences of time and place when growing up,
Family jokes,
Secrets,
Memories
Sorrows and joys.
We are linked together by light,
Invisible chains
Until the ends of our days
We will always be part of one another
However distanced,
However different
We are essential to one another
And even when we pass on
We will hold that bond forever
For we are the brother and sisters of
Our beloved sister
Leisha
May she rest in peace
