I thought that we would never fall apart,
But here I am standing with a broken heart.
And why the angels took you far away,
They didn't ask but I wanted you to stay.
My grief for you will never fade away,
No matter what I do or what they say.
I feel you're still with me, you're just right here,
But why I cannot touch or kiss you dear?
And every night I fall asleep, my love,
I will be dreaming of your star above...
That star will shine the brightest of all stars
But will not lighten all these lonely hours
I know that we're apart just for a while
And soon I'll see again your pretty smile,
But "soon" means the eternity for me
I wish and pray that sooner it will be.
