Kids' Goodbye Dad Poem

by Mari Russell Stewart
(North Carolina)

We lift your hand
Now you can fly
As we have said our last goodbye

You've walked the bridge
You've crossed the line
Your final sigh, the final sign

Now you have gone
So you are free
We know that's how it's meant to be

A father's love
You freely gave
Now we go on, together brave
