My mother is dying

It is hard to watch a loved one die. But watching a mother go is especially hard.
she is my biggest fan, my cheerleader, my teammate. She stuck up for me when no one else would.
she loves everyone, I have never heard her say a bad word about anyone, ever, even her ex-husband.
she always wanted us to know how much our dad loved us, and the divorce had nothing to do with us.
Her name is Billye Bugg Richards. She is still here with me, not for long, but I read this poem and it touched my heart. I am trying to prepare for her funeral, but can you ever be prepared?
