Funeral Poem for Mother

We ended my mother's funeral with the following benediction:

Out of her Mother she came,
- born as we all are born.
And she returns to the Mother
- who eventually embraces us all-
To dissolve in the earth
And be with Her forever and forever.


For some reason I found these words very comforting.
